In the Africa diaspora, violence continues amid anti-coup protests in Sudan as dozens of protesters were wounded and at least one person was killed.
Authorities deployed tear gas at hundreds of thousands of people marching to the presidential palace in the capital city of Khartoum.
In Ethiopia, the Tigray People’s Liberation Front announced that its forces are retreating from several areas in northern Ethiopia.
The strategic withdrawal is seen as a significant move towards ending a 13-month long civil war, which has led to thousands of Ethiopians being killed, hundreds of thousands facing starvation and more than a million people being displaced.
