U.S. Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit join forces with military forces from the Kingdom of Thailand, Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia and Japan to conduct a non-combatant evacuation exercise in preparation for natural disasters and civil disorder. Role players from three of the nations (U.S., Thailand and Japan) acted as the evacuees while military members of all six nations executed the operation. The excercise was conducted in Rayong, Thailand as part of Cobra Gold 2012.
