The first repatriation of British victims killed in the Sousse massacre has taken place at RAF Brize Norton this afternoon.
An RAF C-17 Globemaster, which left the UK early this morning for Tunisia, brought back the first eight bodies.
A convoy of hearses is then transporting them to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Further flights are expected to follow in the coming days.
Earlier this week an RAF flight carrying badly injured survivors flew into Brize Norton.
The aircraft made a brief stop at Birmingham Airport to allow for the transfer of at least one patient to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in the city.
Allison Heathcote, from Felixstowe in Suffolk, had suffered five gunshot wounds in the atrocity. After five hours of surgery she's understood to be in a stable but critical condition.
David Cameron has declared a national minute's silence for victims of the attack, while Tunisian interior minister Mohamed Gharsalli announced the arrests of several nationals allegedly linked to attacker Seifeddine Rezgui.
A total of 38 people, including up to 30 Britons, died after 23-year-old student Rezgui opened fire on Friday. The self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) - also known as ISIL - later claimed responsibility.
The Prime Minister, who earlier described the "existential threat" posed by IS as "the struggle of our generation", told the Commons: "We will not give up our way of life or cower in the face of terrorism."
