BURGLAR (BC) ALONGWITH 06 RECEIVERS OF STOLEN JEWELLERY ARRESTED BY SPECIAL STAFF, SOUTH DISTRICT.
ACCUSED ANKIT TANWAR IS A BC OF PS FATEHPUR BERI.
02 CASES SOLVED.
INTRODUCTION:-
The team of Special Staff, South District has done commendable work by arresting a desperate burglar namely Ankit Tanwar (BC of PS Fatehpur Beri) and 06 receivers of stolen jewellery/articles namely Adesh, Ravinder @ Rinku, Sonu, Titu, Akash & Sunil in case E-FIR No. 80053309/24 u/s 380/457/411 IPC, PS Fatehpur Beri. Upon their instance, Stolen Gold articles weighing 121.4 grams mortgaged at Muthoot & Capri Gold Loan, Stolen Gold jewellery - 01 chain, 05 rings, 05 ear-rings, 01 locket, Silver jewellery - 02 pair pajeb, 02 kanthi, Cash amounting to Rs. 81,830/-, 03 high end expensive mobile phone (newly purchased) were recovered and 02 cases were worked out successfully.
BRIEF FACTS OF THE CASE:-
On 22.05.24, an incident of house burglary was reported at Dera Village in the jurisdiction of Police Station Fatehpur Beri, Delhi. Immediately, police reached at the spot where the complainant stated that some unknown persons had barged in his house and stolen jewellery (gold/silver) and cash Rs. 48,000/- during night time and fled away. A case vide E-FIR No. 80053309/24 U/s 380 IPC was registered at PS Fatehpur Beri and investigation was taken up.
TEAM & OPERATION:-
It was revealed that similar incidents of house burglaries were reported in the Village earlier also, wherein valuable were stolen by the burglars. Keeping in view the gravity of the incidents, the case was assigned to Special Staff/South District to develop important clue and to arrest the culprits. Accordingly, a team comprising staff of SI Dinesh Kumar, SI Deepak Yadav, ASI Manoj Kumar, HC Manish, HC Anoop, HC Dinesh Kumar, HC Rakesh, HC Sunil led by I/c Special Staff/SD Inspr Girish under overall supervision of ACP/Operations, South District was formed to act swiftly.
During the course of investigation, the team gathered the information about the incidents and Modus operandi adopted by the burglars. The team also scrutinized the CCTV footages of the incidents and made entry/exit route adopted by the culprits. From the analyzing of CCTV footage, the team managed to find out a person in a suspicious condition in the night hours in the Village. The photo of the suspect was developed through technical apparatus and circulated within police net to get his identity. Some more important and result oriented clues were collected through the exercise of scrutiny of CCTV footages. Local sources were deployed and human intelligence was collected. The efforts of the team bore fruits when the suspect was identified as Ankit Tanwar (BC of PS Fatehpur Beri). Hence, through surveillance and technical analysis the location of the accused Ankit Tanwar was zeroed down. A raid was conducted and he was apprehended. He confessed to the above said crime. Upon his possession, 01 gold ring, cash Rs. 26,830/- & 01 expensive Fold flip mobile phone were recovered. During interrogation he disclosed that he had committed two house thefts in Dera village in the month of May 2024, one around two weeks ago and other on 22.05.24, wherein he had stolen jewellery & cash. The recovered 01 gold ring and cash were stolen by him on 22.05.24. The fold flip mobile phone was purchased by him with the money received after selling the stolen gold. He was arrested.
During further investigation, he disclosed that he had given the stolen jewellery to sell to his friends/relatives, who are residents of Gautam Budh Nagar, U.P. Accordingly, on his instance Adesh, Ravinder @ Rinku, Sonu, Titu, Akash & Sunil were apprehended. Upon, their instance, cash Rs.55000/-, 02 mobile phones, Stolen Gold jewellery & Silver jewellery were recovered. They confessed that the stolen gold/silver jewellery were given by Ankit Tanwar for selling. They also disclosed that some jewellery had been mortgaged by them in the Dadri (Noida) branches of the Muthoot Finance and Capri Gold loan. Further investigation revealed that the gold jewellery was mortgaged by them in these branches and loan amount was transferred to their bank accounts, investigation in this regard is in progress.
