More about BI Reads for Justice:
The City of Bainbridge Island, with its Race Equity Advisory Committee, and in partnership with the Bainbridge Public Library and Eagle Harbor Book Company, launched BI Reads for Justice in October 2022. It is a six-month, all-community reads program running until March 2023.
Everyone is invited to read the first book in the program, “Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You: A Remix of the National Book Award-winning Stamped from the Beginning” by Jason Reynolds and Ibram X. Kendi.
BI Reads for Justice aims to raise awareness, increase education and spur action about injustice in our society. They also aim to normalize, broaden and deepen conversations about race in our community.
