Welcome to Éire Rider my name is Ben,
Today I head to Glengesh Pass in Co. Donegal in my F800GS Adventure. It is by far one of the best passes to travel to see and complete. The approach can be done from either side. I did the Carrick side and the approach to this pass is incredible as you will see in this vehicle. Wide open spaces with vast tracks of land with hills and mountains. A truly remarkable sight.
Glengesh is one of two Glacial valleys that carve the Northern edge of the
Banagh Peninsula.
The 2nd Glacial valley I will see in a future video also very close to Ardara. The pass is called Grannys Pass.
Both passes run parallel to each other when seen on a map.
The length of Glengesh pass is some 15 miles which is fairly long. You will see in this video as I descend the mountains stay fairly viewable until it flattens out.
