Hey Guys, in this video I will show you how to create a soldered, pear shaped basket setting using silver wire. You can use other metals if you want.

Materials:
- 0.8 mm (20 ga) wire
- 1.3 mm (16 ga) wire
- 1.6 mm (14 ga) square or round wire
- 10 mm faceted pear gemstone
Tools:
- Flush cutters
- Torch (I use a Iroda PT-550 CR)
- Hard/medium/easy solder
- Soldering surface
- Quenching bowl/pickle
- Steel block
- Hammer OR
- Rolling mill (this works much better)
- Hart and flame burrs (or similar)
- Jeweller's files
