Far-right Israeli MK Limor Son Har-Melech referred to an Israeli convicted of killing three members of a Palestinian family in a 2015 arson attack as a "truly holy friend". She also criticised his imprisonment, labelling it a "crime" during a fundraising event aimed at calling for his release.
The individual in question, Amiram Ben Uliel, was found guilty in 2020 of multiple charges, including three counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, arson and conspiracy to commit a racially motivated crime as part of a "terrorist act".
He is currently serving a sentence of three life terms plus an additional 20 years for his involvement in the deadly firebombing in the occupied West Bank village of Duma that saw the killing of Riham and Saad Dawabsha, as well as their 18-month-old son Ali, leaving only their five-year-old son, Ahmed, as the sole survivor, though with severe burns
