Residents of the village of Krasnoye, in Russia’s Lipetsk region - the northernmost point Wagner troops reached in their aborted push for Moscow - appeared unphased by the sudden arrival of armed men in the area.
The outskirts of village appeared just as tranquil on Sunday, despite the highways being dug up with excavators then refilled and paved in quick order after Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin called off the march and ordered troops back to base camps.
