SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento Kings losing streak reached four consecutive games after they lost 126-121 to the Indiana Pacers at Golden 1 Center on Jan. 18. The Kings missed 14 out of 32 free-throw attempts (56%).
Kevin Huerter had 31 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, two steals, and 1 blocked shot for the Kings (23-18, 13-8 at G1C), who played their first game at home after a 5-game road trip that ended with a 119-117 lost to the Phoenix Suns on Jan. 16.
Domantas Sabonis had his 12th triple-double of the season. He had 21 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, and 1 blocked shot for the Kings. Keegan Murray had 27 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 blocked shot. De’Aaron Fox had 24 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals.
The Pacers were without former Kings point guard Tyrese Haliburton and their recently acquired player Pascal Siakam who was traded to Indiana from the Toronto Raptors.
Benedict Mathurin led the Pacers (24-17, 11-9 on the road) with 25 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocked shots. T.J. McConnell had 20 points, 10 assists, and 1 steal while Jalen Smith contributed 17 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 blocked shot.
Former Kings player Buddy Hield had 12 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block shot. Miles Turner had 18 points and Jarace Walker added 15 points off the bench.
