Hardcore is fishing for Sharks and Rays on anchor in San Diego Bay in the middle of the winter. Hardcore is using 8 pound test Seaguar Fluorocarbon as his main line. Just as he starts to get the chum line going he hooks a large 80 pound Bat Ray ! Hardcore has to pull anchor and chase the fish down with his trolling motor. Hardcore nets the big Bat Ray with his Promar 30 inch rubber net, removes the circle hook and releases the big Bat Ray unharmed.That catch and release gives Hardcore another 10 to 1 Fish. 10 to 1 fish in five hours of fishing for Sharks and Rays. In that five hours of fishing for Sharks and Rays Hardcore also caught and released 10-Butterfly Rays, 3- Shovelnose Guitar Fish,
2-Brown Smoothhound Sharks and 1-Leopard Shark. Before the tide was right to set up for Sharks and Rays, Hardcore fished for Spootted Bay Bass for a hour and caught and released 12- Spotted Bay Bass and 2- Yellowfin Croaker. Nice Day in the San Diego Bay Solo Hardcore !
