Make Pattern & Cut Cross Back Jacket with lining Long Designer Jacket for Party Layering
We'll learn to:-
Understand a Design to Make it's pattern.
Make a Paper Pattern for the Dress.
Lay the Pattern.
Cut interfacing or lining.
Cut the Dress.
For designer dresses, it's always better to Cut a Paper Pattern. It saves time & fabric.
While drafting a pattern, seam allowance is not included because same pattern can be used for making different styles of
a dress. But I'm making this pattern including seam allowance.
Lay the paper, folded as we do for the fabric.
Mark half Shoulder = 7". If you want a deep armhole keep Shoulder = 6.5". That is half inch lesser.
Neck Width = Chest divided by 12 or 2.5".
Back Neck Length = 0.75".
Shape the Back neck.
Mark Armhole Length = Chest divided by 4 + 0.25".
Chestline = Chest divided by 4 + 1".
Mark armhole line from shoulder till Chestline. It'll be 0.5" less than
