Dodge has unveiled the final performance characteristics of its innovative Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust system, featured in the all-new Dodge Charger Daytona. This patent-pending system is the world’s first of its kind, designed to deliver a distinctive rumble and tactile sound wave output, challenging traditional expectations of battery-electric vehicles.
The Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust system integrates dual bespoke, high-efficiency extreme bandwidth transducers with dual Fratzonic Chamber-loaded passive radiators. These components are housed in a custom enclosure and powered by a dedicated amplifier, working together to produce a deep, resonant rumble that embodies the essence of Dodge’s performance DNA.
This system reacts dynamically to driver inputs, such as accelerator pedal position, speed, and torque output, crafting a unique exhaust note for the Charger. The system enhances the driving experience, particularly in high-performance modes like Drag, Drift, Donut, and Track, by increasing the intensity of the sound.
Dodge has also launched a 20-part video series titled "Built Upon a Legacy," which will feature the next-generation Dodge Charger Daytona. Production of the two-door coupe versions of the Charger Daytona R/T and Scat Pack is set to begin in summer 2024, with four-door Daytona models following in the first half of 2025.
