His Majesty continued the day's itinenary by visiting the Chka/lovsky Airforce Airbase located 30 kilometers from Moscow and was greeted there by Mr Zelint/sev Victorovich, Director of Russia's Helicopter Flight Research Complex.
As a skilled aircraft pilot, His Majesty is not a stranger in the development of technology especially the aircraft industry. The sophisticated latest aircraft requires skill that must be possessed by military personnel as it can be seen at Ch'kalov'sky. The airbase serves not only a major military transportation base for Russia, it also serves as a base for Special Flight Division in handling Anto'nov and Tupo'lev aircraft besides conducting cos'monaut trainings. It also provides air support to several rural areas as well as other elements in the Russian Space Programme and the Russian Federation Space Agency.
Before concluding the visit, His Majesty witnessed a flight demonstration by one of the helicopters. In the existing cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the Russian Federation, relations in the military level is amongst the top priority.
