Christopher Wagner, the Chief of Police for the Denville Police Department discusses the moment when their county first bought and installed the V-300 VirTra Simulator, stating that at first he was very hesitant to try it, but VirTra’s staff convinced him to give it a go. He grabbed a simulator handgun and within 15-20 minutes was completely sold on the idea of using this system to train officers. His main concern with his officers is that they are usually working in a relatively crime-free and quiet neighborhood, so they are not given a lot of experience with high-stress, shooting or hostage situations. This will force them “to make a deadly force decision in a split-second” without any prior experience or training first-hand with what to do. The VirTra system allows officers to feel and know what these situations will be like before they happen, and understand all of the possible outcomes of their actions and reactions. Wagner praises the ability of the VirTra Simulator to give his officers “really great realistic deadly force training and millisecond decision-making in a place where they’re safe.”

Sidney DeJesus a Lieutenant at the Vallejo Police Department begins by praising the VirTra product, but also delves into the praise that the support and training staff that come with it deserve as well. Stating that VirTra continues to improve upon and maintain the product that his department purchased and how phenomenal that support has been. Talking about how the staff is always looking at ways to create better training environments, and how that helps his officers. His expectations were exceeded by the progressive and innovative way the VirTra team worked.

Patrick Dillon, the chief of police for the Plympton Police Department, praises the system as the most realistic and engaging training he has every participated in. He didn’t even notice the second shooter in the room until he was shot, proving to him that this training is truly spectacular.
