Led Lights From China
I bought these strip lights as a possible workbench lighting option. I took these apart as I do with anything from China that plugs into AC. I'm glad I did in this case. As you see in the video, there is no safety earth wire connection fitted at all to these units and due to poor quality manufacture there is a risk of short circuit. This could prove either very painful, fatal or both.

Not only is the earth wire completely missing, the power supply is actually referenced to ground directly, leaving a high floating AC voltage. Under normal conditions this might not be a problem but in a fault situation which is very likely given the construction technique and quality control in these units this voltage could travel straight through your body causing the aforementioned pain and death.

Normally I would put in a link as to where to buy these from but because of the safety risk I will not encourage anyone to buy these items. If you really must buy them google 'led lights from wish'
