My first proper flight in Brasov Romania yesterday (July 2016). And it was a doozy!
Not very long but it could have been with the thermals pumping up all over the place. It was just good to get a taste of the mountain which I will be flying for the next 2 months.
The launch is great and the landing area is huge (2 of them actually), and walking distance back to the gondola to go right back up again. Or you can hike up which I anticipate doing a lot.
Thanks to Crinu and Mercia for showing me around and helping me with all the details to fly a new site, and lifts too! :)
I love how accessible these sites are. I can ride to Bunloc and catch a gondola to the top. Or I can ride to Lempes and just walk up. Awesome.
Hopefully a lot more paragliding to come while I am in Romania.
I'm flying an Advance Pi2 22sqm, and an Advance Easiness 2, and I gotta say, I love them both even though I need to lose a few kilos to help me thermal on the 22sqm Pi2 ( I need all the help I can get at my skill level).
A lot of fun and I can't wait to go Paragliding again, and again, and again. :)
