Here is my Esbit Camping Stove review. This is bcb fire dragon camping stove from Go Outdoors is actually a copy of the traditional esbit stove. This fire dragon camp stove costs just £1.50. I've only ever owned gas camp stoves so I'm really interested to see if this solid fuel stove is any good.

At just 110 grams this Fire Dragon Stove is some ultralight backpacking gear. Cheap backpacking gear doesn't come any cheaper than this, that's for sure. The solid fuel costs approx £0.30 each.

Even though this esbit camping stove copy costs just £1.50, it's actually really well made and can be used over and over again so don't think it's a one-use camp stove.

I like the fact than it's a proper camping stove fire rather than the jet flame of gas on all my usual camping gas stoves. The esbit stove boil time for 500ml (0.5L) of water was approx 9 minutes on a very cold day. The time was probably reduced as the OEX Sola X Cookset has a wind-resistant jetboil-style flux ring.

I would be really interested to see if people actually use these when backpacking. Is this on your backpacking gear list? Let me know in the comments below.
