I support the action today by the Yuba-Sutter health officer in allowing a safe re-opening of the economy that allows many to return to work, while continuing to protect vulnerable populations. I am optimistic that other counties will soon follow suit.
At this time, I can't help but question the continued validity of the Governor’s statewide stay-at-home order. We have met the public health guidelines to begin re-opening and we have the capability to manage this virus locally. In my opinion, there is no longer any justification for the Governor's executive order as it pertains to our communities.
