In this video, I'm doing a loopback test: I'm receiving the transmitted signal with the RTL-SDR by direct cable connection (via attenuator).

To use it as a real transceiver, one would need separate antennas for the receiver and the transmitter, and also an LPF between the GPIO output and the antenna.

For transmission, qtcsdr uses the great rpitx project from F5OEO, which can transmit AM/FM/SSB on GPIO pin number 12 of the Raspberry Pi.
