This ends up a long day in the saddle because of poor roads and a change of plan. Rather than cutting right across the country to the coast I stay inland and head for Thale Noi, which is a small lake to the north of the larger lake that runs approximately 80 km towards Hat Yai.

In less than a hundred km I manage to pass through two, provinces Nakhon Si Thamarat and Songkla, before riding into Phattalung.
