Iceland to Shut Embassy in Moscow over “All-Time Low” Relations
Iceland will suspend its embassy operations in Moscow from the 1st of August. Iceland’s Foreign Ministry has asked Russia to scale back its diplomatic activities in Reykjavik.
The Foreign Ministry has said that “all-time low level of commercial, cultural and political relations between the two countries” is the reason behind the suspension of its embassy in Moscow.
However, the ministry stated that the embassy will reopen once relations normalise.
