A conference of education ministers was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood in which health ministers and monitoring teams along with education department participated while education ministers of all four provinces participated in the conference through video link. After reviewing the situation, the conference proposed to keep schools in eight districts closed till April 10, which was opposed by Punjab Education Minister Murad Ras.
