Brendan Bill captured this afternoon on super 8 film. Some of this was used in my “Homeboy” part which is Up online for viewing pleasures. Link is in my bio. We thought it would be fun to show the world my world. Skating around my suburban culdesac with my dog wrecks. My dad the silver fox randomly came by to drop off a skateboard that he made in the sixties. He said he took woodshop in eighth grade just to make skateboards! We ended up at the cemetery I like to hang out at. Obviously the running is a tribute to mike V. I know he hates that scene, but I like running through graveyards. I just like to skateboard and to be out smiling with my friends.
I’m baffled that Thrasher has put my name on the voting pole for soty. I was up for it in 2004, 2007 and now 2018. All three years were years that I put out two parts. I never tried to win soty or has it been on my radar. Evan smith gets my vote. He’s inspiring and more than just good. So many of the dudes and dudettes don’t make me feel any emotion after their parts. That’s just me.
Skateboarding brings me to a magical realm and it’s the only place where I truly feel free to be me.
