The Shafali Verma-led Indian team, which recently won the inaugural ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup in South Africa, was on Wednesday felicitated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ahead of the third India-New Zealand T20I at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Amid rousing cheers from the fans, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar along with BCCI secretary Jay Shah and president Roger Binny honoured the young brigade.
