Federal authorities say they have an American terror suspect on tape talking about his love for jihad...his commitment to fighting for Allah...and his hatred of the U-S military.
Daniel Patrick Boyd is the accused ringleader of a North Carolina-based group suspected of plotting a series of international attacks.
During a hearing Tuesday...officials played audio recordings of a man said to be Boyd telling people that Muslims must be protected at all costs.
The tape was reportedly made in June at Boyd's home.
Federal officials say they also seized 26 weapons...more than 27 THOUSAND rounds of ammunition...and a handbook on how the government reacts to terrorism from the suspect's property.
Boyd's family and friends say they believe he's innocent and being unfairly targeted because he's Muslim.

According to an FBI agent...Daniel Boyd recruited his 2 sons and several other men to get military style training...travel overseas...and wage violent jihad.
A judge is trying to determine if the 7 men taken into custody last week should be held until their trial.
Authorities are still looking for an eighth man . The 20 year old North Carolina resident was arrested in Pakistan last October on weapons charges.
Pakistani officials say he was released on bail later that month.
The accused terrorists are facing several charges including conspiracy to murder, kidnap and injure people abroad.
If convicted they could be sentenced to life in prison.
