I dedicate this video to Ranno Maasikmets, the most enthusiastic and hard working snowboarder whose wrist got shattered while filming the long blue rail at the Kalevi Stadium. Have a speedy recovery!
Kalevipoeg is the Estonian national epic, and even though this sword fighting rapist giant has little to do with snowboarding, all of these rippers in the video battling the rails seem pretty heroic to me. The epic of "Kalevipoeg" tried to give Estonians the idea of belonging to a big league with all the other more highly cultural nations, and I think it's the same way with this video. We're surrounded by the uber-talented Finnish and Scandinavian snowboarders and various film crews even visit our state to make use of our exotic semi-soviet cityscape. We finally took matters in our own hands and filmed our own short epic of Estonian snowboarding.
