Malawi has announced a 21-day period of national mourning following the tragic death of the vice president in a plane crash. Masankho Banda, a founding member of the United Transformation Movement, expressed deep sorrow over the loss, highlighting the vice president's significant contributions to the nation. During this mourning period, flags will be flown at half-mast, and various ceremonies will be held to honour his memory.
