Hello hello!
We're KimonioLabs and decided to take a Domestika course to refresh our After Effects skills and we find it amazing! Right from the start you'll learn to put together a basic animation. Stay tuned for more and go check it out, so far it's been very promising.

Today we learned what Track Mattes are in After Effects. So basically is a still image, video clip, graphic, piece of text or shape used to create a variable transparency in another layer. The track matte carves out a portion of a layer, exposing the layer beneath it. You can see this in the pink circle, it was an animated wooden texture made of multiple images!!!

The only down side is the audio seems to only come in Spanish, buuuut there's subtitles in a lot of languages including obvs English.
