SMALL OVERLAP FRONT TEST: [ Ссылка ]
OVERALL EVALUATION: Acceptable
Test details:
The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport was introduced in the 2011 model year.
Structure — The driver space was maintained reasonably well, with maximum intrusion of the lower interior of 15 cm, and the upper hinge pillar and instrument panel intruded 11-13 cm.
Restraints/dummy kinematics — The dummy's head contacted the frontal airbag but slid off the left side, leaving the head vulnerable to contact with forward side structure. The side curtain airbag deployed but does not have sufficient forward coverage to protect the head from contact with forward side structure and outside objects. The side torso airbag also deployed.
Injury measures — Measures taken from the dummy indicate a low risk of any significant injuries in a crash of this severity.
Additional features:
Side airbags: front and rear head curtain airbags and front seat-mounted torso airbags
Rollover sensor: designed to deploy the side curtain airbags in the event of an impending rollover
Driver knee airbag: a separate airbag in the lower instrument panel designed to minimize knee injuries in frontal crashes
Electronic stability control
Antilock brakes
