This video showcases two of our innovative products being used together with outstanding results. The focus products of this video are our WheelRestore Alloy Wheel Paint Robot and our HBC Direct-To-Metal (DTM) paint.
Our newly released HBC System DTM paints and clearcoat are huge innovations in the world of alloy wheels! Unlike standard wheel paints there is no need for primer. As the name Direct-To-Metal implies, the product is applied directly to the surface of the alloy wheel WITHOUT primer. The wheel is still scuffed for adhesion as is always the case however this product eliminates the need for primer as it is designed and formulated specifically to adhere to the raw alloy. The biggest benefits to DTM are that there is no need to purchase and wrestle with a primer product and the time saved by directly applying the paint to the wheel. Both our DTM wheel paint colors and our DTM clearcoat are UV curable. With the use of a UV lamp the curing and dry time is 15 minutes per wheel. That is dry to the touch, ready to mount tires and head out the door! We currently offer the DTM wheel paint in three color options: Gloss black, satin black, and silver. These are the most common wheel paint colors but we do have more colors coming down the pipeline. We additionally offer our DTM in a clear coat as well. The DTM clear offers the same ridiculously fast cure/dry time of 15 minutes or less with the use of a UV lamp. The UV clear allows you to apply beautiful clearcoat over whatever wheel finish you like. All of our DTM products are sold in three part kits. Color or clearcoat, thinner, and hardener. The products are easy to use and spray through a traditional HVLP spray gun like any other paint or clear coat. This also means they work flawlessly in our Alloy Wheel Paint Robot, which comes with UV and IR curing and heating lamps onboard as standard kit.
The Alloy Wheel Paint Robot is the world's first easily accessible alloy wheel painting robot. Through our many years supplying equipment and products to the automotive industry we learned that painting alloy wheels was a bit of a tossup with many painters. Many painters would rather use their finely tuned skillset to paint full cars or panels. Many shops and dealerships would prefer to use their painter's time and valuable skillset on larger or more complicated jobs, and rightfully so! Regardless, the wheels still need to be painted and are in-fact a great source of business. These were some of the factors we had in mind when we decided to create a solution for painting wheels.
Our Alloy Wheel Paint Robot allows anyone with the knowledge and ability to mix paints and clearcoat to simply load the product into the machine, which can use either or both HVLP spray guns and Aerosol cannisters, tell the robot how many coats of product they want to apply, and which sides of the wheel desired to paint, if you want to use the IR or UV lamps and if so for how long, and then walk away and let the robot take care of painting the wheels.
The beauty of this robotic wheel paint machine is that it allows a painter to use their skills on other projects while the Alloy Wheel Paint Robot takes care of the wheels.
