In this video, we will be taking you to the snow world of Himachal Pradesh which is Koksar. We traveled to Koksar from Manali in our car. Also, we have visited Manali to Gramphu which is around 5 KMs from Koksar and around 13 KMs from Rohtang Pass.
Koksar is one of the most beautiful villages in Lahaul Mandal in the Lahaulspiti District in Himachal Pradesh. Koksar is about 19 km from Rohtang Pass and 7 km from the North Portal of Atal Tunnel Rohtang. Koksar is the coldest place in Lahaul.
Koksar is one of the best places to visit near Manali. You can visit Koksar from Manali and go back to Manali from Koksar within 1 day. Koksar is really a good destination for a 1-day trip from Manali.
If you are traveling from Manali to Leh Ladakh from Manali Leh highway via Rohtang pass then you will cross Koksar after Rohtang pass and Gramphu.
Manali to Koksar distance is around 41 KMs via Atul Tunnel. You will have to cross Solang Valley, and Atul Tunnel to reach Koksar. You will get snow at Koksar now and if you go a little further to Gramphu you will get more snow.
Rohtang Pass is closed now and also Gramphu Kaza Road is closed because of that only we were unable to travel further from Gramphu.
If you are planning to visit Koksar, Sissu, Solang Valley, and Atul Tunnel then you can go there by car, Private taxi, or rented bike. You will taxi from Manali and it will cost you around 3.5k to 8k depending on requirements.
Lahaul and Spiti district is one of the best places for tourists coming to Himachal Pradesh. You will also get homestays at Koksar (Lahaul and Spiti), the homestay price starts from 1000 to 3000 and more.
