Good morning everyone and welcome to today's UK weather forecast on Wednesday 27th October 2021.
Current Situation: Low pressure is deepening in the north Atlantic while high pressure strengthens over France. A weather system will bring heavy rain to the north west and strong but warm southwesterly winds. No change today.
Today:
Wednesday begins with heavy rain across north west England and north Wales. Its mostly dry and cloudy on either side of the frost. Winds are strong and gusty with gale force gusts of 50-60mph in the Irish Sea.
Through the rest of the day further pulses of heavy rain will continue across north and west Wales, north west England, Northern Ireland and south west Scotland. The rest of Scotland will stay dry and cloudy as will the rest of England and Wales. It will be a windy day especially in the west and north west where gale force gusts are possible. Temperatures will be exceptionally mild at 12C to 18C.
Tonight:
The heavy rain goes on across north west England and north/west Wales. The rest of the country will become mostly dry. Winds remain strong and gusty with another exceptionally mild or way night at 10C to 15C.
Tomorrow:
Wet and windy weather goes on across north west England with heavy rain spreading to he rest of Wales and possibly south west England. There could be some heavy showers across Scotland but many places will stay dry as will Northern Ireland. The rest of England and Wales will have a lot of cloud but should stay mainly dry. Temperatures will be very mild again at 10C to 16C.
Outlook:
Friday: A band of heavy rain spreading erratically eastwards. Becoming showery in the west. Cooler.
Saturday: Heavy and thundery rain pushing eastwards on Friday night, clearing to sunshine and showers through Saturday. Cool.
Sunday: Cold, wet and windy from a deepening area of low pressure.
