Amir Sarfaraz, also known as Tamba, a close associate of terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba founder Hafiz Saeed was killed on 14th April 2023 in Lahore by unknown gunmen. He was one of the accused in the brutal murder of Indian national Sarabjit Singh inside Lahore's Kot Lakhpat prison in April 2013.
A day after Tamba was shot dead, Pakistan as usual blamed India for the killing. Pakistan accused the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of plotting and executing the killing of anti-India persons based on its soil after Tamba’s death.
Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi of Pakistan blamed India for having a hand in Tamba’s killing. But Naqvi failed to provide any evidence to back his allegation.
