Within the Second World War and the German Army, there were many experienced generals who commanded soldiers ruthlessly. Ludwig Kübler was known as a hard taskmaster, but his soldiers (the Mountain Corp) fought in many different battles. He was promoted to the rank of General, but at the end of the war was executed for his involvement in war crimes. Kübler's method of execution however is disputed and it has been mentioned that he went to the gallows, but I've discovered new evidence that actually points towards Kübler being executed via a firing squad.
