There are times when you simply have to go small or go home and after I have tried the Mary Nymph in numerous small sizes I will very surely reach for something like this. I can tie down to #20 but any smaller presents some significant problems on the river bank. I simply cannot see well enough to tie the fly on!

I love flies that are drab with just a hint of bling, something to catch the fishes attention and entice them to come for a taste. I am very luck that I live in a part of the world where I can watch the behaviour of Trout and Grayling in the Southern English Chalk Streams. Watching fish dart across the river to inspect and often inhale the fly is an amazing buzz.
