Israel Adesanya vs Paulo Costa for UFC 253 is sure to be fireworks. I find it odd that when it's fight week, I always end up seeing a lot of doubt for Israel Adesanya.

I predict a knockout by Adesanya, in the 3rd or 4th round.

Why? This is a classic bull vs matador fight, a historically stylistic fight that's sure to produce epic results.

Costa is the best bull the middleweight division history, and Adesanya is the best matador in the middleweight division history.

The problem is that Costa is not the best bull Adesanya has faced, while Adesanya is the best matador (and all styles fighter) Costa has faced.

Many pundits are counting out Adesanya, thinking Costa will hunt him down and score a KO. These same people look to Jason Wilnis or Alex Perira for reference.

Pressure fighter with power is Adesanya’s kryptonite, people say... The problem is Adesanya beat Wilnis in many people’s eyes (including mine, making Adesanya the uncrowned GLORY champion) and in BOTH of his fights against Perira, Adesanya was winning.

Pereira vs. Adesanya I was a straight robbery, and Adesanya lost the second match by letting this and the Wilnis decision get to his head.

In my view, Adesanya beat two of the best pressure strikers in the world, despite having “losses” on his record against them.

For whatever reason, people love to doubt the Style bender. But Costa is indeed the the type of fighter that Adesanya loves to fight.

Costa works best in the exchange range and relies on his durability to get in there and his power to score. But Adesanya never lets this go unpunished, and the more the bull charges, the more he will be speared by Adesanya’s favorite strikes.

Many of Adesanya’s favorite strikes are spearing strikes aimed to double the force by creating a collision, so watch out for this!

It's very difficult to predict any fight, let alone a high level match. Anything can happen, but there's a reason I called for Adesanya's rise all the way to the top early on.

If Adesnaya wins this match, especially in a dominating fashion, then he becomes the best champion in UFC Middleweight history. Can't wait to see this happen.
