Hitachi Energy brought its pioneer gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) technology to Saudi Arabia, a key enabler for urbanization and has been bringing reliable electricity to the world ever since.

In line with Saudi Vision 2030, the Kingdom aims to generate 50% of its energy from renewables. To contribute to this goal, Hitachi Energy has established a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Dammam that produces well-proven GIS available from 72.5 to 420-kilovolt (kV).
