The closest race ever at the Enduro World Series concluded with the 2019 EWS at Northstar Bike Park near Lake Tahoe, California. After 26 minutes of timed racing, Richie Rude beat Sam Hill by just .81 seconds. Richie won the final stage by .94 seconds, enough to beat Sam for the overall after two days and five stages of racing. In another close battle, Isabeau Courdurier won the women's class by just 19 seconds over Noga Korem.
