How to Add Google's Site Kit to WordPress?

🚧 Do you need to create a Google Analytics account before starting this? Not necessarily. You can create a new Google Analytics account through the webpage or the plugin we will use.

🚧 So log in to your administrator's dashboard and go to plugins. We'll add a new Google Analytics WordPress plugin called Site Kit. Just type in the Site Kit, and this should pop up. Why are we using this plugin instead of countless other analytics? Simple, my friend, nearly every other analytic app has free and premium versions, meaning that some data is usually hidden behind a paywall, which isn't very fun, especially if you're just running a small blog or website. Site Kit WordPress plugin, however, is developed by Google, meaning that it's direct and doesn't have any premium versions. All the information you need right there.

🚧 Okay, let's get back to how to install Google Analytics WordPress. Once the WordPress Site Kit is installed and activated, it's time to complete the setup. You should see this banner appear to progress. Just click the big blue button. Now log-in in with your main Google account and ensure that both these boxes are ticked when the confirmation screen pops up. Next, just click the big blue button until the setup is completed. There’s nothing to change here.

🚧 We’re still not fully done with adding google analytics to WordPress tutorial. Since this is just connecting your site to Google Search Console, which gives you data about search queries and other Google-related stuff. We need to run a second setup, so click here to begin it.

🚧 Next, on how to set up Google Analytics on WordPress, login to your Google account again. Check this box, and select your analytics property. If you don’t have anything created yet, don’t worry. You can create a new property right now. Just add a name and make sure that the location is right. Then we have to log in again, check everything we get, and lastly, agree with this form. 🚧 A quick note, don’t be confused if there’s no data to show at first, it takes some time for all of it to synchronize, and if you created new analytics property, it needs to get at least a few visitors before the ball starts rolling.
