This video was taken during the "Rattle Battle" trophy match at the 600-yard line. The competitors are on the Illinois State Rifle Association Junior Highpower Hard Dog Silver Team. My son, Andrew, is second from the right. Teams are only allowed 50 seconds on each yard line to fire as many accurate shots as possible with more points being awarded for hits scored at the farther distances. With M16/AR15-style rifles, highly skilled Infantry Trophy shooters can fire 40 or more shots per string, scoring over 30 hits in the black. Hits in the black at 600 yards count four points, at 500 yards they are worth three points, at 300 yards awards two points, and at 200 yards awards one point. In addition to the score from number of hits, teams also earn bonus points at each yard line equal to the square number of targets that have six or more hits. The Team Captain was Sgt. Kyle Wilson, USMC and the Team Coach was Capt. Eric Antonelli, USMC.
