This video shows two InterCity Notte trains from about 2007, and one InterCity from 2012. It's an excuse to show three things- an E646 hauling an InterCity, and also how individual Progetto IC901 coaches in green stripe XMPR livery were slipped into normal rakes of stock around 2012. Finally, the long ICN is a good excuse to show a great mish-mash of UIC-X and Gran Confort coaches!
First we have IC666 La Spezia to Milano C.le c2012
It is hauled by Rivarossi Tartaruga E444.042 (HR2014) and is based on this video: [ Ссылка ]
The rake is as follows:
ACME Gran Confort 88 x2 (XMPR White stripe)
Lima UIC-Z 2nd cl x2 (XMPR White stripe)
ACME Progetto IC901/270 Gran Confort 1st series (2nd cl, ex 1st cl) (XMPR Green stripe)
Lima UIC-Z 2nd cl x2 (XMPR White stripe)
There are a couple of inaccuracies- the E444 should have Trenitalia, not FS logos- the version of XMPR is from the early 2000s. Also, the first two Lima UIC-Zs also have the early 2000s FS logos. However, I wanted to get the effect of the IC901 coach standing out with the green stripe.
As I have said before, when I have seen these IC901 coaches inserted at random in a rake, the BH always seems to be missing!
Next up is Riva E402b E402.150 (HRS2589) in original livery. It is hauling ICN761 "Scilla" Torino-Reg Calabria c2007/8. I did a cut down version of the rake in this video- [ Ссылка ]
It is interesting, as it has a mix of refurbrished and non-refurbrished UIC-Xs. So we have:
2x Heris T2 sleepers in XMPR colours
2x Lima Expert Gran Confort 88 (one white stripe, one green stripe XMPR, which I saw on other vids)
1x ACME UIC-X 1995R refitted coach in XMPR Mainlines
2x Riva UIC-X 79/82 coaches in XMPR Mainlines
2x ACME 1998R UIC-X Comfort Couchettes- XMPR
Again, several of the coaches have FS logos, where they should be Trenitalia, but it is a really impressive rake
Finally, a really nice unusual rake from Sicily.
It is ICN794 "Conco d'Oro" to Torino as shown in this video:[ Ссылка ]
Two things of note here! It is hauled by an E646 (rare, I think), and the rolling stock isn't a night rake at all, but a standard four car Sicilian Gran Confort / UIC-Z rake! I guess that either the Sicilian part of this train only operated in the day, and the night stock took over from Reg Calabria, or there was a substitution going on.
My rake is hauled by Riva E646.137 (HR2731). It consists of:
1x Lima Expert Gran confort 88 (white stripe)
1x ACME UIC-Z BH (Green stripe)
Thanks for watching
2x ACME UIC-Z (Green stripe)
