DUNDEE - RANGERS | Mass pyro display by Rangers fans at Dundee - Dundee vs Rangers suspended.
Dundee and Rangers players have been sent back to the Dens Park dressing rooms after a significant number of flares were lit in the away end as the match kicked off.
Any kind of pyrotechnic use remains strictly prohibited in any football stadium stands despite calls by fans for a more lenient approach.
It was a further delay after the match was already held up by 45 minutes after awful weather conditions in Dundee meant the Rangers team bus was late to the stadium.
It kicked off at 8.30 but was stopped by Clancy after just two minutes amid huge plumes of smoke from the away stand.
The display meant the pitch was engulfed in smoke and referee Kevin Clancy was forced to suspend play. It is understood that the smoke set off the fire alarms inside the stadium and as a result, the referee was forced to halt the game.

FIERY ENCOUNTER Wild moment Rangers fans’ mass pyro display sets Dens Park FIRE ALARMS off as match faces further delay
HERE'S the shock moment Rangers' clash with Dundee was HALTED after visiting Gers fans' pyro display set off fire alarms.
It's believed that fire alarms in the Bob Shankly stand which accommodates the Gers fans was triggered by the plumes of smoke sent into the stands.
While that area is a modern stand constructed of bricks and mortar, other areas of Dens Park are still wooden.
That's after kick off was delayed by more than 45 minutes after the Ibrox team coach was caught up in bad traffic en route to Tayside for the match. The game was only minutes old before the referee took the decision to take the teams off the field again as fire alarms sounded around the ground. There had previously been major concerns that the match would be played at all amid Storm Ciaran.
All the delay and uncertainty didn't seem to do Rangers any harm, though, as they raced to another three Premiership points. Ryan Jack opened the scoring, before Danilo made it two and then summer signing Sam Lammers slammed in a beauty for the third. The Ibrox fans pyro action comes amid a brewing controversy on the other side of the city - with safety concerns cited as part of the reason for the Green Brigade being banned from Celtic matches.
