Learn how to create desktop shortcuts on Steam Deck
Desktop mode on Steam Deck allows you to perform functions just like a normal computer. Some of the functions might be changing desktop backgrounds, copying and pasting items, and even creating desktop backgrounds.
On Steam Deck, you can create shortcuts to make it easier for you to access your games and even apps while on Steam Deck Desktop mode.

How To Create Desktop Shortcuts On Steam Deck
Turn on Steam Deck
Switch to desktop mode on Steam Deck
Click on the Steam Deck icon on the taskbar. It's at the lower right on the screen
On the menu, find the application or game that you'll create a shortcut for
Hover on the application and right-click on it. You use the L2 button to right-click on Steam Deck.
Click on Add To Desktop

This will create a desktop shortcut on your Steam Deck. You can do this with other applications if you'd like
