US Marines on Wednesday (4/6) launched their third airlift of foreigners since Karoma forces overthrew the country's civilian
government. The foreigners, who were caught in the military coup, boarded American helicopters to flee the war striken area. They were
taken to Cokary in Guinea.
In a related development, the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) summit wound up in Harare, Zimbabwe on Wednesday with a threat of violence against the coup leaders in Sierra Leone and a warning that the day of the coup is over in Africa.
