Lingnan University is dedicated to serving the community and promoting United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals with impactful research and knowledge transfer activities. In the Research Assessment Exercise 2020 (RAE) conducted by the University Grants Committee in Hong Kong, a large percentage of LU research is classified as “World Leading” and “Internationally Excellent”.
Professors T. Chen, Y. F. Chen, D. Tjosvold and A. S. H. Wong have been researching people-oriented leadership practices to establish how to increase their effectiveness based on a new understanding of underlying mechanisms and boundary conditions. Through a process of sustained engagement and consultancy with a range of companies, the unit has translated its findings into practical solutions, enabling the companies to transform their management philosophy and practices to achieve greater competitiveness.
