On 18th November 2020, this NPA/CEOBS side event on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Mine Action took place on-line for the 18th Meeting of States Parties on the Anti-personnel Mine Ban Convention. We had to re-record the beginning due to a technical issue but the real-time session included an audience poll to gauge attitudes to the SDGs and how they relate to humanitarian mine action. We have summarised the results here. Encouragingly, the poll votes showed that 77% saw that alignment of the SDGs and mine action as very important and a further 19% saw it as important. The majority (over 90%) also viewed that the SDGs were relevant to all areas of mine action, including survey, mine clearance, stockpile destruction, post-clearance land use, victim assistance and explosive ordnance risk education.
