My Foundation Revealed Entry is based off of a modernized pin up version of Celia Bowen from Erin morgenstern's novel the Night Circus. I know the central color pallet of the circus itself is black and white. However because I see myself as a "rêveur", someone who loves and intimately knows the circus but is not of it, I choose red. Those who read the book know why red 😏.
The corset is a self drafted pattern of the 1901 "S" bend corset using references from Norah Waugh's corsets and Crinolines where the corset can be found (pg84 fig. 43)
Because the corset top stops at the bust point covered bra cups (yes they are detachable) were put in to cover the naughty bits. To add a touch of romance I used my boyfriends hands holding me as a template to create the belt.
