Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang Pays Tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on Birth Anniversary

Gangtok, November 14: Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang Golay offered a tribute to India's first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, on the occasion of his birth anniversary. The Chief Minister presented garlands to Nehru’s statue at Jawaharlal Nehru Marg near Mintogang, Gangtok.

The ceremony, held in remembrance of Nehru’s significant contributions to India's independence and early nation-building efforts, also celebrated his enduring legacy in education and his affection for children, which is why his birth anniversary is celebrated as Children’s Day across the country.
