To solve logarithmic equations it is important to first simplify your equation so that you either have an isolated logarithmic equation on one side or a logarithm equal to another logarithm. To simplify a logarithmic expression we will use the properties of logarithms to condense our expression to one logarithm. Then we will use inverse operations to isolate the logarithmic expression. Once we have a logarithm isolated we can convert the equation to exponential form to solve for the variable. If we have an equation where a logarithm is equal to another logarithm then we will use the one to one property remove the logarithms from the equation and solve the equation.
